These presets are part of an iconic visual code. They're the ones that, over the years, have helped me perfect my portraits — the starting point for iconic images like those of Alain Ducasse, Mauro Colagreco, Andreas Caminada, Jérôme Quilbeuf, and many more.
This isn't a filter pack. It's the deep, cinematic, uncompromising black and white I use to portrait the elite of the kitchen, distilled into seven presets so you can bring it to your own images.
The collection includes seven monochrome presets, each with its own character:
- Black Lava — dense black, texture. Matter and depth.
- Noir — the most cinematic. Crushed blacks, total presence.
- Extreme Personality — character pushed to the limit. Contrast and presence.
- Mise en Place — restrained contrast, editorial calm. The portrait at rest.
- Present & Future — the image between what was and what's coming. Contemporary eye, classic roots.
- The Pass — high contrast, sharp blacks. The decisive moment, no safety net.
- Textura — grain and matter. The feel of the analog image.
Like everything in my work, these presets give you a foundation, not a cage. Adjusting the preset's own intensity, or tweaking exposure, contrast, or shadows, completely changes the result and lets you find your own look.
